Sheila talks with the lead trainer from her strength training studio, Ann Kirkland about the specific method of slow-motion high-intensity strength training they practice, why it’s different, what the benefits are, and why everyone should be doing this type of exercise. Nutritionist, Matt Mahowald joins the conversation with Ann to discuss how they met 16 years ago and how it changed Ann's life and her body. Matt explains the importance of designing a nutrition plan to match each person’s biochemical make-up with what he calls “scientific eating”. Matt goes on to discuss the first thing he addresses with new clients; inflammation and how it affects many different aspects of our body systems and well being.
